I have been working as a Counsellor for the last 10 years, and before I took the plunge 4 years ago to work in my own practice, I gained experience volunteering with Cruse as a bereavement counsellor, and also working within an organisation which specialises in working with clients with physical disabilities.
Now working within my own practice I work in person and online with individuals and couples, across a range of different issues from anxiety and depression, bereavement, and relationship issues. These are just a short example of what I can support you with, and very much a whistle stop tour of my experience, but I hope it gives you an insight into some of my experience, which is far wider ranging than the examples I have just given you.
And, as a final word on this, for me, there is always something new to learn from every client I meet and work with.
Well, I trained and I work as an integrative therapist, which means rather than staying with one model of counselling, I use a combination of models and approaches from different theories, and at the core of my integration is person-centred therapy from the humanistic schools of thought. I trained as an integrative therapist as I believe this means I can tailor your therapy to your specific needs. I am always happy to discuss my integrative approach and answer any questions you may have.
"""When have you been at your strongest?" asked the boy.
"When I have dared to show my weakness.""
